We are back in the building! We are ready when you are! All of our environments—preschool through adult—are open, clean, and ready for you and your family. We know everyone isn’t at the same place and ready to return, and that’s okay. Whenever you’re ready, we’ll be here and continue to be online as well.
We know you have questions about what Sunday mornings will look like. Our team has taken the time to answer some of the most frequently asked questions below for each environment.
In person services will be held at 9:20 & 11:00am. We will not open the outside doors until 15 minutes before the service starts. (9:05 & 10:45am)
We will be encouraging social distancing throughout the building.
Masks - We are asking that all of our attenders Kindergarten and older wear masks while they are in the building. We believe that this is our part in preventing the spread of the virus.
All LifeKids environments will be open both services. Transit will be meeting during the 11:00am service. See below for precautions and changes in the LifeKids and Student Environments.
We understand that there is a range of feelings when it comes to returning to attend or serve in-person, and we respect everyone’s decision to do what is best for their personal and family’s health. Our desire is to support all families in their decisions whether you join us in-person or at home. We will continue to stream our services live online at 9:20 & 11:00am. We would love for you to join us on Sundays at Live.LifeHousePeople.com.
We will continue weekly, online family content to supplement our Sunday morning environments. We are also exploring other opportunities to provide those who are staying at home during this time with take-out curriculum and activities, weekly digital resources, and short-term digital and in-person groups.
Everyone is encouraged to take their temperature before coming to LifeHouse. Anyone who plans to join us must be free from COVID-19 symptoms each week.
If, during the hour, any of the following symptoms appear in children of any age, parents or guardians will be contacted and must pick up their child from Waumba Land, UpStreet, Transit or InsideOut immediately after being notified. (Children will immediately be removed from their room and moved to an isolated area).
Symptoms include:
While many of these symptoms can also be related to non-COVID-19 health concerns, we are proceeding with an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our children, families, and volunteers during this seas
Parents or guardians should notify LifeHouse Church if they become aware that anyone in their household tests positive for COVID-19. If an individual in a small group tests positive for COVID-19, our team will notify each person present that day in the group with this information.
Our team has taken a number of precautions to help ensure the health and safety of all our attendees, volunteers, and staff. Those steps include but are not limited to:
Since we have not been meeting regularly, this has given us the opportunity to thoroughly disinfect the entire building on multiple occasions over the last months. We are cleaning frequently touched surfaces (handles, counters, etc.) and carpets with hospital grade disinfectant.
On Sundays, our staff and volunteers will be frequently cleaning touched surfaces (handles, counters, etc.) with hospital grade disinfectant as well.
Check-in will remain the same with one, primary check-in for both Waumba Land and UpStreet environments. The check-in process will be an assisted, touch-less process done by a host team member at our LifeKids computer kiosks in our lobby area.
Name and Security tags are used to continue our security measures and track attendance for these environments.
One-way traffic flow and safe-distancing will be encouraged.
Parents are encouraged to take their child’s temperature before coming to Waumba Land or UpStreet. Thermometers will be available as needed. Please see “What signs and symptoms should I be looking for with COVID-19?” above.
If a child shows any of these signs or symptoms, parent will be immediately notified, and the child will be removed from the room and taken to an isolated place until parent pick-up.
Face coverings are required for Kindergarten and up, and for younger-aged children it is recommended but not required.
Multiple hand sanitizer pumps and touchless stations will be available to parents, children and volunteers in and through-out our environments.
During the time your child is in Waumba Land or UpStreet, children and staff will be encouraged to wash their hands throughout the hour using proper hand-washing techniques. Hand sanitizer will be used as an alternative.
We understand that children don’t understand how to social distance. However, we are looking at new ways to implement small group and large group to help maintain those guidelines.
Small Group:
There will be a limited number of children per group and room. We will also limit shared supplies. There will be no snacks. All activities will be done within the small group circle or at the table. Children will be led to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
Large Group:
There will be spaced out seating for children and leaders during our Large Group Time in Waumba Land and UpStreet. Face coverings will be encouraged for younger children and in UpStreet during Large Group.
For TRANSIT, there will be one check-in location. Each student will be checked in by a host team member before a student enters the environment. Students waiting to check in will have visual decals on the floor to observe safe spacing.
For INSIDEOUT, there will not be a check-in location. Small group leaders will check in students during small group time using the LEAD APP on their phones.
Parents are encouraged to take their student’s temperature before coming to church. All students, parents, and volunteers will be offered hand sanitizer before entering their environment. Face masks are required.
During the week, each environment has staff and volunteers who come in to thoroughly clean.
On Sundays there will be hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and disinfecting spray available to keep high touch areas clean.
We understand that students are difficult to enforce social distancing. However, we are looking at new ways to implement small group and large group to help maintain those guidelines, as well as encouraging leaders and volunteers to help encourage social distancing among students.
Pre-Function
Students will be encouraged to hang out in small groups. Game systems, tables, and other games will be wiped down between uses.
Large Group
Students will be encouraged to spread out with their small group. We will also be adjusting our large group production that will limit the amount of time in the large group room.
Small Group
There will be a limited number of students per group and space. Students will be encouraged to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
